5:00pm - 7:00pm

Evidence-based, multi-week course teaching fathers practical parenting skills to build healthy relationships and support child development.

This session will run weekly from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday evenings from September 1 through November 3. While we understand parenting opportunities do arise that may cause you to miss a session, to receive the full benefit attendance at each week's session is encouraged.

Nurturing Fathers is an evidence-based, multi-week training designed to support fathers and father figures in building strong, healthy relationships with their children and families.

This interactive program focuses on practical, skills-based learning that helps participants strengthen parenting confidence, improve communication, and better understand child development. Each session provides tools fathers can use immediately in everyday family life, with an emphasis on nurturing, consistency, and positive engagement.

Participants explore topics such as:

  • Building safe, respectful, and supportive family relationships
  • Understanding children’s developmental needs
  • Strengthening emotional connection and communication
  • Developing effective parenting and caregiving skills

The Nurturing Fathers Program creates a welcoming, supportive space for fathers to learn from trained facilitators and connect with other dads who are committed to growing in their parenting journey. Oregon Family Support Network centers lived experience, peer support, and family voice, ensuring the program is accessible, strengths-based, and grounded in real-life application.

This course is open to fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, and father figures who want to deepen their role as nurturing, engaged caregivers and positive influences in their children’s lives.
