Children and families involved in adoption, foster care, kinship care, and respite care often carry layered experiences of trauma, grief, disruption, cultural loss, attachment wounds, and system involvement. These experiences affect behavior, trust, identity, relationships, emotional regulation, school engagement, family stability, and long-term well-being.

At the same time, caregivers and professionals in this field are often asked to support children with complex needs while navigating limited resources, high expectations, and emotionally demanding situations. This training helps professionals, caregivers, and community partners respond with clarity, compassion, cultural intelligence, and practical trauma-informed tools.
