10:30am - 11:30am

Audience: All Caregivers (Adoptive, Foster & Kinship Parents) & Professionals

Level: Beginner
Ages addressed: 0-18

Summer can bring freedom, fun, and family memories—but it can also create challenges for children who thrive on routine, predictability, and connection. Changes in schedules, increased screen time, disrupted sleep patterns, and transitions between caregivers can impact children's emotional well-being and behavior. This presentation will explore practical, developmentally appropriate strategies for helping children stay regulated, connected, and supported throughout the summer months. Caregivers and providers will learn how structure promotes emotional safety, why connection remains the foundation of healthy development, and how to create meaningful routines that balance flexibility with consistency. Participants will leave with concrete tools to reduce stress, strengthen relationships, and support children's mental health during summer break.
