Join ORPARC to hear some of the latest and important information about managing and treating ADHD with local Oregon expert Maggie Alexander. Friday, September 18, 2026 10am-Noon

This cutting-edge and highly applicable 2-hour workshop with Maggie Alexander, PMHNP, current local Portland clinician and author, will reveal the most accurate and inclusive understanding of ADHD and how to treat it precisely with medicine and micronutrients.

In this session, you will:

  • Recognize harmful myths and inaccuracies about what ADHD is and how to treat it.
  • Learn specific applications of stimulant medications that avoid side effects and ineffective treatment regimes
  • Become more familiar with specific lab tests that uncover root contributors to ADHD
  • Explore the overlap of Autism and impact of Trauma on ADHD symptoms

Audience members will be invited to ask questions and be provided with numerous resources that will increase their personal understanding. Recommendations that they can take to their care providers who are less familiar but open to learning more and possibly treating ADHD will be provided.

Maggie Alexander, PMHNP

My primary focus is working with Adults and Teens with ADHD and Clinicians who wish to learn more about treating ADHD. I have specialized in working with clients with ADHD since 2013. My background includes working as a certified nurse-midwife, a postpartum RN and in a mental health clinic. I also have personal and professional experience living and working internationally – Europe and Africa in particular.
