Guided by Plants: An Invitation to See Children Differently

May 13
Wednesday, May 13, 2026 – 12:00pm
12:00pm - 1:00pm

In early childhood spaces, we’re often asked to move quickly — respond to behavior, support development, and prepare children for what comes next. Over time, that pace can shape how we see children… and how we see ourselves in this work.

Join us on Wednesday, May 13, at 3 pm ET, for Guided by Plants: An Invitation to See Children Differently. Led by Nick Terrones and Mike Browne, two men of color working in early childhood education and co-hosts of the Napcast podcast, this one-time session invites you to slow down and explore what the natural world can teach us about how children grow — in relationship, in response to their environments, and in rhythms that can’t be rushed.

In this free webinar, you will:

  • ✨ Explore how environments shape children’s experiences
  • 💬 Learn to see behavior as communication, not something to fix
  • ⏳ Reflect on what it means to support growth without forcing it

When we look closely at how things grow in nature, we’re reminded of something powerful: growth isn’t something we force — it’s something we support.

Continue the Learning (Free Course)

Following the webinar, participants will be invited to join a free, ongoing online course and discussion forum.

Each month, for five months, you’ll engage with:

  • 🎧 A podcast episode from Napcast
  • 💭 Guided reflection prompts
  • 💬 Community discussion with peers

This flexible learning experience is designed to help you continue exploring these ideas at your own pace, alongside a community of educators and caregivers.

👉 Registration for the course will open immediately following the webinar.

Both the webinar and the course are free and open to all.

If you’re ready to slow down, reflect, and see children — and your work — with fresh eyes, we invite you to join us on May 13.
