10:30am - 12:30pm

Audience: Professionals

Level: Intermediate

Building on the foundation of the previous session Professional Dangerousness: The Quiet Undercurrent in Human Services, this session provides a hands-on, action-oriented approach to addressing PD in human services practice. Participants will engage in interactive exercises to apply the Self+ framework—Awareness, Reflection, Compassion, Care, and Growth—transforming insight into practical strategies for real-world situations. Through guided discussions, case-based problem solving, and reflection prompts, attendees will identify actionable steps to minimize PD and foster healthier, more effective relationships with clients and colleagues. Facilitators Jessica Hoeper and Brëanna McMullen draw on extensive experience in human services and reflective consultation, creating a supportive space for participants to practice, experiment, and build confidence in implementing these approaches.
