This course prepares you to tell your family’s story by:

  • Creating space for parents to talk about their decision to adopt
  • Integrating adoption into the family legacy
  • Unpacking the common adoption narrative
  • Developing age-appropriate strategies to address complex conversations
  • Connecting to a community of other adoptive parents

This course meets once a week for 12 weeks on Zoom for 90 minutes.

This curriculum has been developed by both adoptees and adoptive parents. Astrid Castro and Sujata Soni-Wipper will be leading the first six weeks while Astrid and Jennifer Poole will lead the last six weeks of the course. Our aim is to serve adoptees by teaching parents adoption competency, how to build family legacy, and creating community.
