This training introduces participants to creative and effective approaches for working with traumatized children in foster care and adoption, along with their families. Participants will learn targeted interventions designed to foster emotional regulation, create narratives, and strengthen attachment, bonding, and family resilience. The training offers a variety of proven methods for working with children aged five and older, with step-by-step instructions, structured activities, examples, and required materials for each intervention. This workshop is ideal for parents and professionals in the foster care and adoption fields.

Jeanette Yoffe, M.A., M.F.T., is a licensed therapist specializing in adoption and foster care, with over 20 years of experience treating children, teens, and adults impacted by trauma, abuse, neglect, and placement transitions. An adoptee and former foster youth herself, she draws on her personal experience to inform her clinical work and advocacy. She is the Founder of Celia Center, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit supporting all members of the foster and adoption constellation, and Clinical Director of Yoffe Therapy, Inc. Jeanette has developed innovative interventions, authored the book Groundbreaking Interventions, created educational videos and children’s books, and frequently speaks on the emotional impacts of adoption and foster care.
