BIPOC Adoptees: Between Goodbyes - Community Film Screening (Portland, OR)

Jun 6
Friday, June 6, 2025 – 6:00pm
6:00pm - 8:30pm

Monday, June 6, 2025 from 6:00pm - 8:30pm | OMSI - Portland, OR

Join us for a special community screening of Between Goodbyes, a film by Jota Moon that invites us to reimagine adoption—not as a singular, emotional reunion, but as a long-term, layered experience. While many adoption documentaries focus on initial reunions and redemption arcs, Between Goodbyes asks deeper questions:

✨ What happens a decade or two after reunion?

✨ What support do families have—or lack—as they try to stay in touch?

✨ What does reconnection, grief, and resilience look like across time?

The film centers voices too often left out—especially original family members—and reminds us that their stories deserve to be heard. A live Q&A with director Jota Moon will follow the screening. Learn more about the film at: https://www.betweengoodbyes.com
