Training:

Black People Breathe: Resilience in Action

May 16
Friday, May 16, 2025 – 9:00am
9:00am - 11:00am

On Friday, May 16, 2025, at 12pm ET, Zee Clarke will offer a free community breathwork practice!

Zee Clarke is an HBS alum who went from leading teams at Fortune 500 companies to teaching mindfulness and breathwork to people of color. Why? After experiencing a number of race related challenges, from racial profiling and harassment by the police to microaggressions in the workplace, she realized that mindfulness and breathwork were the key to maintaining our mental health despite any challenges that we might face.

During this powerful event, Clarke will share an up close and personal glimpse of the experiences of Black people in America and the impact of often "unintentional" words and actions. She will share how her Ivy League pedigree and years as a tech executive, couldn't protect her from experiences of racism, and the impact on both her mental and physical health. As shared in her book, Black People Breathe, Clarke will guide us through breathing practices that we can all use when we experience challenging emotions, from anger to anxiety to fatigue. While the causes of our stresses might be different, the tools remain just as impactful. Open to everyone.
