Training:

Becoming a Behavior Detective

Oct 22
Thursday, October 22, 2020 – 9:00am
9:00am - 10:00am

We know that big feelings can lead to big behaviors, but sometimes challenging behavior seems to erupt out of the blue! This is especially true when dealing with the “invisible” effects trauma. Traditional behavior modification strategies often fail us when triggers/antecedents are complicated and confusing. Figuring out just what that episode of defiance, rudeness, and catastrophic meltdown might be saying is extra challenging when it might be a non-verbal “scream” from the early moments of life. And it’s exhausting. So we’re here to help!

“Becoming a Behavior Detective” will bring fresh insights for you as you parent or work with children impacted by trauma.

After this introductory webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the impact of early experiences on current behavior.
  • Analyze challenging behaviors through the lens of attachment and brain development.
  • Augment and adjust current practices to help address unmet needs and bolster lagging skills in the children you care about.
