In this hour-long webinar, transracially-adopted person and adoption and foster care thought-leader April Dinwoodie will share thoughts on the intersection of adoption and education from early childhood experiences in nursery and grammar school to junior high/high school to college and beyond. Participates will experience a mix of personal experiences, anecdotes and themes from school-based adoption affinity groups, and parent support groups as well as be offered tips and ideas to better support and advocate for adopted children and young people along their educational journey.

This 60 minute webinar will air LIVE on Thursday August 6 at 12pm eastern time, but the recording is available to EVERYONE who signs up, so you do NOT have to attend live (in fact, most people don't!!!). The video recording of this webinar will be yours forever- you will have unlimited and lifetime access to the video recording!

Who is April??
April Dinwoodie is a transracially-adopted person, a nationally recognized thought leader on non-traditional and multiracial families. She is the former Chief Executive of the Donaldson Adoption Institute, the founder of Adoptment -- a mentoring program that matches foster youth with adopted adults, and hosts “Born in June, Raised in April: What Adoption Can Teach the World” a podcast about adoption, identity, and family. As an inclusion and diversity expert, April works with families, corporations, non-profit organizations, schools, and other government agencies to support the healthy identity development of all children and young people.
