Raising Girls: How to help our daughters feel empowered and confident

12:00pm - 1:00pm

Last month my webinar was about boys, this month is about girls. There are so many resources and systems of support for our girls that didn’t exist a couple decades ago. My teen daughter now has strong role models in every sector of society. The Me Too movement and so many inspiring advocates have made it more ok and safe to talk about mental health, sexual assault and gender discrimination.

While we surely are making progress, these sobering stats remind us that we have a long ways to go when it comes to raising our girls.

  • More than half of teen girls feel pressure to be perfect.
  • Between the ages of 8 and 14, girl's confidence level drops by 30%
  • 3 in 4 teen girls worry about failing.
  • Girls are twice as likely to suffer from depression than boys

In this webinar I'll cover:

  • How to talk about and address the impact of social media on girls.
  • Parenting strategies that empower our girls and invite more confidence.
  • An effective approach for responding to mistakes and failure.
