Trauma-informed care is a strengths-based framework that is grounded in understanding the impact of trauma and responding in a way that supports people in healing. It emphasizes safety, control, and empowerment for both providers and survivors. Through this training participants will:

• Gain an understanding of the different types of trauma and how it may impact someone’s brain, body, and health

• Understand the framework of trauma informed care

• Practice designing trauma informed support strategies that work to prevent the retraumatization of survivors

• Understand the role of workforce wellness in a trauma informed approach

• Obtain additional tools and resources
