Kelly DeLany, MA, LMFT - Program Manager

Kelly came to ORPARC in 2003 with over 12 years' experience as a child and family therapist in communities in Oregon. For the past nine years she has exclusively worked with families and children in foster care and adoption. Kelly has also taught courses at the college level in psychology and group counseling. Other past feats include successfully running a family business for a number of years with her husband, and founding a non-profit counseling agency with other talented foster/adoption therapists. Her own family is directly touched by adoption which brings added insight and meaning to her work at ORPARC.

Nineteen years of teaching English and counseling in a public high school, a residential treatment center, and a juvenile offenders' program, uniquely qualify John for his role as ORPARC's Librarian and Education Expert, as well as Family Support Specialist.

When not holed up in our library reviewing materials, John can be spotted rowing on the Willamette River or adding to his extensive repertoire of movie facts.

Momi Buren, MSW - Family Support Specialist

Momi joined ORPARC with 8 years' experience working with children and families in adoptions and the foster care system. She has worked in all aspects of the adoption process from initial placement to ongoing supportive services and finalization. She is also an experienced trainer for foster and adoptive families with particular expertise in the de-escalation and managing of crisis situations.

Prior to working in adoption and foster care Momi lived in Kenya working on a literacy program. She currently volunteers time to a non-profit organization, Haven of Hope Ranch, which provides Equestrian Therapy to restore the heart, soul, mind, and strength of disadvantaged children.

Toni Ferguson, MSW - Family Support Specialist

Toni Ferguson comes to ORPARC from Portland State University's Graduate School of Social Work and Child Welfare Partnership where she has been an instructor for the past 6 years. While there she was instrumental in the development of the Post Graduate Certificate Program in Therapy with Adoptive Families. Prior to that position, Toni was a member of the innovative Post Adoption Family therapist Team (PAFT) at DHS, where she provided highly specialized, intensive treatment services to adoptive families of special needs children. Before PAFT, Toni had acquired over 20 years' experience in education and child welfare systems including the positions of Permanency Worker, Foster Home Certifier, School Social Worker, and Adoptive/Foster Parent Trainer. Toni's Bachelor of Science degrees are in Psychology and Sociology from Portland State University, and she holds a Master's of Social Work from the School of Social Work and Child Welfare at Walla Walla College.

Toni and her husband have raised six children through birth and adoption who are now thriving adults.

Michael McGrorty, BA - Office Manager, Training Coordinator

In addition to Office Manager, Michael has taken on the role of Training Coordinator. He is also fluent in Spanish and brings ORPARC trainings and materials to Spanish-speaking adoptive families.

In his free time, Michael enjoys traveling to Latin American destinations as well as teaching and speaking Spanish with friends.
