Mental Health Referral Policy

The Oregon Post Adoption Resource Center ("ORPARC") provides referrals to assist families in locating therapists or counselors in their area. ORPARC does not provide direct therapeutic services nor recommend specific providers, but acts as a referral service for state adoptive and subsidized guardianship families in Oregon. Should you request assistance in locating a service provider in your area, we will provide you with a list of referrals which best match your family's needs. ORPARC does not license, recommend, endorse, guarantee, control or regulate any provider or agency.

Families should contact each professional directly to inquire as to specialty, fees, experience and services provided to determine the best therapist for their child/family. Families may also check the licensing boards to verify that the therapist is in good standing:

Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors & Therapists

Oregon State Board of Clinical Social Workers
